Juanita Faye Hooper Brown, 72, of South San Francisco, CA passed away on April 28th, 2014.
She was born on August 18th, 1941 to the late Joe & Mary Hooper of El Nido, California.
Juanita is preceded in death by Eldest brother LeRoy Hooper & grandchild Kerrie Ella Kirkaldie.
Juanita is survived by siblings: David Hooper, Carol Hogan, & Mike Hooper; children: James Churan, Edward Hodges, Taja Kirkaldie, Scott Gonzales & Ruthy Sanchez; and 11 grandchildren, whom she loves dearly.
Juanita was called “Neeter Skeeter” by siblings and often enjoyed playing the piano, singing, gardening, playing scrabble and loved to travel.
Her favorite phrase was “oh Phooey”. She spent her life exploring random locations throughout the USA and often reflected on her favorite trip to Paris, France with her daughter Ruthy.
Juanita spent the majority of the last decade in Wolf Point, Montana where she spent time restoring her home, extended time with her daughter Taja, & grandchildren, plus visiting with her entire family as they visited from California.
Juanita had the warmest heart and personality. She would give up her last dollar to help anyone she could. She was always known for being so concerned for her entire family’s endeavors. She had a keen sense of humor and lived her life to the fullest by exploring such wonderful places like Notre Dame and the Louvre in Paris.
Juanita “mom” you are deeply missed.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point. A luncheon will follow at the Wolf Point Senior Center. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
