Judith Ann Boyd

January 2, 1951 — November 1, 2017

Judith Ann Boyd, 66, from Brockton, MT, has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 1, 2017.

“The Lord is my strength and my defense, he has become my salvation.” Psalm 118:14

Judith was born in Wolf Point, MT to George A. Boyd, Jr. and Helen R. (Sparks) Boyd of Brockton, MT.  She was raised on a ranch north of Brockton, MT. She graduated from Brockton High School and went on to pursue her college education within the Montana State University system.  She graduated with honors, having earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Reading Specialist.

She pursued many career options during her college years (i.e.; Pre-med, Corrections, Native-American Studies) before finally choosing to obtain a degree as an educator. She often joked about just being a professional student because she had such a giant love of learning.

She took great joy working as a contract-educator, and looked forward to the adventure of packing up her little dog, Ben, and traveling across the United States and Canada working for different schools.  She took great pride in teaching children how to discover the world through the scope of passion for art, music, and reading.

Judith enjoyed many hobbies which included: painting, writing, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, playing her piano, and studying God’s Word. She also invested time in humanitarian efforts.  She lived simply, often opening her home to others or sharing what she had with those in need.  She looked forward to the Christmas holiday so she could fill and send “shoeboxes” for Operation Christmas Child.

Judith was also a mother and (in her later years) grandmother to many other children besides her own, everywhere she went she has “adopted” sons, daughters, and grandchildren all over the country, giving proof to the depths of her heart and leaving behind a true legacy of love.

She is preceded in death by her parents: George A. Boyd, Jr. and Helen R. Boyd of Brockton, MT; her sister Winona Boyd Feiock of Brockton, MT; three of her brothers: George Boyd III, Eugene Frederick Boyd, both of Brockton, MT and Daryl Boyd of Helena, MT; as well as her step-daughter Lynelle Salazar Holguin of Las Cruses, NM.

She is survived by her children: Jerry (Dee) Rosebluff and Michelle Melbourne-Baker (Paul Baker) both of Helena, MT; Genoveva Gonsalves and Kimberly Ramirez both of Denver, CO; and step-daughter Cecelia Salazar of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren: Melody Rosebluff of Poplar, MT; Zack Rosebluff, Daniel Schultz, Tyler Schultz, Brenda Schultz, Jacob Melbourne-Baker, Sarah Melbourne-Baker, Rachael Melbourne-Baker, Adam Melbourne-Baker and Jessy Melbourne-Baker all of Helena, MT; Anthony Gonsalves, Keanu Gonsalves, Jahziel Otumfuor, Gennavecia Otumfuor, David Corral, Aseal Corral and Osiris Ward all of Denver, CO; Alliyah Borjas of Fort Collins, CO; True Love of Phoenix, AZ; Jayla Galvez of Colorado Springs, CO; and Avery Holguin of Las Cruses, NM; and her great-granddaughter, Lynelle Gonsalves of Denver, CO.

She is also survived by two of her sisters, Roberta Beveridge of Brockton, MT and Patricia (David) Menz of Lewistown, MT; sister-in-law, Anna May Boyd; two of her brothers Lionel (Rose) Boyd of Poplar, MT and Terry Boyd, Sr. (Ann Baker) of Brockton, MT; as well as many other adopted-children, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Judith held firm to her faith in Jesus and requested that her friends and family regard her Homecoming –in-Christ as a day of celebration instead of mourning her passing. In honor of her request, Judith’s family and personal friends are invited to attend a memorial to celebrate her life beginning at 11:00 a.m. on June 30, 2018 at the Cultural Center in Brockton, MT followed by inurnment at Riverview Cemetery in Brockton, MT, and a potluck dinner.  Please bring a dish to share.
