Kathryn Ann ‘Kay’ Schriver
Kathryn Ann “Kay” Schriver, age 71, of Glendive, MT went to be with her Lord and Savior and reunite with her husband, Jim, and daughter, Jeanne, on March 15, 2009, in Great Falls, MT.
Kay was born to Vincent and Agnes Adams in Kingsley, IA, on Aug. 6, 1937. Most of her childhood was spent there. They moved to Circle, MT where she met the love of her life, Jim Schriver. On July 2, 1955, they were united in marriage.
From this union they were blessed with eight children.
She spent most of her life with her family in Circle, where she worked for Circle Public School for a number of years, retiring in 1997.
Kay enjoyed reading, fishing, playing cards and doing various crafts. She was involved in the Catholic Community and loved watching and cheering on her children and grandchildren in various sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother-in-law Duane Gackle; and daughter, Jeanne. She is survived by sisters, Joan (Jim) Groh of Miles City, MT, Irene Gackle of Circle, Judy (Larry) Marquart of Glendive, MT and brother Vincent (Marilyn) Adams of Coon Rapids, MN; children Susan (Denny) Summers of Peck, ID, Ann Marie (Greg) Hoff, Glendive, MT, Larry (Nikki) Schriver, Valier, MT, Julie Wright, Glendive, MT Dick (Shelley) Schriver, Billings, MT, Matt (Jenny) Schriver, Fairview, MT, Jamie (Nikki) Schriver, Billings, MT; 19 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A rosary service for Kay will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Circle, at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Funeral Mass is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Funeral procession will immediately follow the service to Circle Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the basement of the church.
