Our beautiful baby girl, Kristien Kohl “Coco” Ferguson, age 18, left to be an angel on April 13, 2013 in Poplar, MT.Kristien was born on January 27, 1995 to Leslie Ferguson and Tracy Red Dog. Kristien grew up and attended schools in Poplar, Newtown, and Middle and PoplarHigh School. Kristien worked at Overland restaurant. She loved to hang out with family and friends. She enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball. Throughout her life she was loving, thoughtful, and took care of her brothers and sisters. Kristien enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was especially close with her cousins Antoinette (Toni) and Roxanne (Roxy) Morsette. She loved taking pictures (of herself) and the many friends she spent time with. To her close family she was known as the Drama Queen. Kristien had a big heart and was a good listener. She had a very charismatic charm and big personality. She was outgoing and funny. She was always the one with the funny jokes. Because of her big voice she always stood out in the crowd. She wasn’t afraid to let you know what was on her mind. Her smile was one in a million. She was very close and had a special bond with each of her siblings. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she’s touched.
Kristien is survived by her father, Leslie and Faye Ferguson, of Poplar; her mother, Tracy Red Dog, of Parshall, ND; brothers, Tyler Ferguson, of Poplar, Channing and Gunner Smith, of Rapid City, SD; sisters, Brittney Ferguson, Morgan and Melanie Ferguson, and Tanya Denny, all of Poplar. Grandmothers, Joann Russell (David) of Poplar, Lois Ann Ferguson, of Poplar, and Bonnie Menz of FortKipp. Great Grandmothers, Pearl Hopkins, Louise Ell, Gloria Chopper, Lorraine Stormy, and Vida Muskrat, all of Poplar. Aunts and uncles, Ava (Wayne) Loveland, Sandi (Vince) Catudio, Jordis Ferguson, Carlene (Sudi) Clokey, Doreen Ferguson, Rose Ferguson, Connie Ferguson, Jake (Beth) White Bull, and Farrell (Dennis) Simons. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many special friends.
Kristien is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Darrell Red Dog, Sr., and George Ferguson; her uncle, Darrell Red Dog, Jr.; brother, Lane Ferguson; niece, Asher Smith; and nephew, Karsen Smith.
