Kurt Wade Murdock

June 27, 1972 — December 27, 2010

Kurt Wade Murdock “Hu-ob” (Wounded Leg), age 38, of Frazer, MT passed away December 27, 2010 in Poplar, MT.

Kurt, the son of Albert “Bert” and Rosella (McConnell) Murdock, was born June 27, 1972 in Wolf Point, MT. Kurt was raised in Frazer, where he attended school and played football all 4 years of high school and was a manager for 2 years. After graduating from high school he attended the Institute of American Indian Arts.

Over the years, Kurt was a reserve officer for two years and worked for Albertsons, security at the Silver Wolf Casino, cook and security at local Bingos in Frazer and at the Red Bottom Celebration.

He enjoyed visiting with friends and family telling stories of crazy things he had done or what someone else had done. Kurt also played the drums for starting line ups for the Bearcubs, he was known for playing “Wipe Out” on the drums. Kurt was always laughing or making someone else laugh. He loved Christmas just like a little kid he woke up early, wanting to open the gifts.

Kurt taught himself to play the guitar and became quite good at playing along with many songs that came on the radio or on one of his many cds. He loved heavy metal and loved to play them loud. He loved his family and spending time with them. Kurt was a teaser, if Kurt wasn’t teasing you, he was telling stories about you or someone else.
