Lazarus Michael Garrison aka Lazarus Nicholas Jones of Poplar, Montana formerly of Brockton, Montana passed away on February 27, 2019.

Lazarus was born on July 16, 1997 in Sidney, Montana to Michael Garrison and India Jones.  He attended schools in Brockton, poplar, Conrad and Shelby, Montana.  He was loving, kind, gentle with a big heart and with a big smile that could brighten up a room.  Laz loved to chill with his many friends, always joking and laughing just being goofy.  He loved to make you laugh by being silly, Laz was always there for you offering a shoulder to cry on and encouraging when you needed it.  Laz loved to write and make music and rap.  Laz made numerous friends throughout his life and was loved by many and all who knew him.  He was the type of person who if you asked for something he would give it to you and if he didn’t have it he would try and get it for you.  Although he didn’t attend school he for went education to pursue a rap career and although his music wasn’t widely known it was shared and loved by all his friends and family.  He also had the opportunity to perform on stage as an opener a few times.  Laz was also known to his aunty Jena as sagada because he was half white and half Indian and as Gypsy Boy because he traveled and lived all over.

He leaves behind his parents Michael (Tia) Garrison and India Jones.; his girlfriend Delite Bergie and unborn baby; brothers Elwade Rush and Oliver Garrison; sisters Schuyler Garrison and Loreli Garrison; grandpas Raymond Hapa and Bill Garrison; grandmas Judy and Carol Garrison, Frances Boyd, Flora Kaye, Merle and Qwen Hapa, Anita (Ron) Kaiser, Ruth (Terry) Necklace, Lois Longtree, Ethelene WhiteHawk, Bernadette Wind, Doris “Ducky” Bird and Beverly Bird, Kate Youpee; aunts Jena (Gary) LoneBear, Angie (Larry) Beston, Lena Garrison, Denise (Curtis) FastHorse, Becky Bird, Waverly Bar, Sherri DeMarrias, Tammy Hapa, Marta Jones; uncles Conrad White, Ralph Jones III, Randon Bear, Richard Garrison, Angelo Boyd, Dion (May) Hapa, Darrin Hapa, Sheldon Noel, Fabian Hapa, Wayan Bear; adoptive mothers Sandra (Pat) OwnsPipe, Robyn Hernandez and Vermae Smith; cousins Eli Jones, Breanna Martinez, Natalie (Kevin) Red Eagle, Marissa and Michael Love, Nicholas and Winnifred Haumpy, Mia Red Eagle, Kayleigh, Cody and Isabella Jones, Brandon Hapa, Laraina and Marktia Charette, Nichelle and Trey Hawk; other family includes the other Jones clan, Walking Eagle, Hapa, DeMarrias, Melbourne, Bird, Red Eagle, Isnana, BigTalk, Desirly, GrayHawk, Spotted Bird and Yellow Hammer.

Laz was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ralph Jones, Jr. and Winona Vivian Jones, his grandpa Frank Hapa; uncle Royal Jones; cousin Shaquilla Haumpy Martinez; best friends Andrew Lamb and Jamie Sweet.

Laz had many friends and family, if we have forgotten to mention you please forgive us. Thanks to everyone who was in his life and helped him.

Laz you will be truly missed by all who knew you, until we meet again.
