Leland C. Warmbrod went to be with the angels on October 3, 2016 with his loving wife Dorothy at his side. Leland was born on January 29, 1932 in Wolf Point, Montana, to John and Myrtle Warmbrod. He was raised on Wolf Creek and made Wolf Point his lifelong home where he proudly raised his family. On June 5, 1960, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Podoll. Together they raised their children Linda and Loren. He also helped to raise many grandchildren of whom he was extremely proud.
Leland was a farmer. When he was not farming, you would find Leland sitting downtown at the round table with his friends drinking coffee and talking about farming. Leland was a Mason, a Shriner, a member of Eastern Star, City Council member, member of the Elks and the First Lutheran Church. He loved to play pinochle, camping at Fort Peck on weekends with Skip and Shirley, watching the news, reading history books, and snapping tons of pictures with his disposable cameras.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy; one sister Lois Baker; children Loren (Becca) Warmbord, Linda Warmbrod Martinez; grandchildren Michael, Blake, Annalyssa, Dylan, Matt and Jodi; sister-in-law Betty Nei; sister-in-law Edith Warmbrod and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John and sister Jean and his parents.
