Leo Daniel Martin, age 38, of Poplar, MT went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September, 1, 2012 at Poplar Community Hospital.

Leo was born September 7, 1973 in Poplar to Thomas & Ruth (Big Talk) Martin. Leo was best known as “Leo Beans”. He enjoyed being with his step-son, Michael and being around all of his family and friends. Leo liked to listen to music, play basketball, hunting, fishing, playing horse shoes, and hanging out and swimming at the river with the boys. He enjoyed seeing visiting family at powwows and in his younger years he was a grass dancer. He was kind hearted and always had a big smile for everyone. He had one 11 year old step-son Michael Wayne Loves Him (Edna Loves Him) whom he loved and cherished very much. He was a father, son, brother, nephew, cousin & uncle. Leo Beans we will miss you and love you forever. You will never ever be forgotten!

Leo is survived by his step-son Michael Wayne (Edna) Loves Him, Brother Sylvester (Patty) Martin & Family, Sister Bernice (Narvin) Chaser & Family all of Poplar, MT. Half-sisters Loretta Martin of Canada, Martha (Lawrence) Black Dog Family of Fort Kipp, MT. Half-brothers Victor Thomas Martin Jr of Standing Rock. Sister in-law Martha Eagle & Children. Aunts  & Uncles; Gloria (Arlie) Diserly & Family of Poplar, MT. Irene (Bud) Philbrick & Family of Brockton, MT. Victor (Margaret) Fast Horse & Family of Billings, MT. Etta Star & Family of Williston, ND. Leland Spotted Bird Family, and Casper Martin Family of Brockton, MT. Special Family: Laverne Loves Him and Ethlene WhiteHawk, Beth & Jake Iron Bear Family of Poplar, MT, Frank Hapa of Poplar, MT. And Virgil Merculieff of Poplar, MT. Leo is proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas & Ruth; Brothers: Albert, Clifford, Jake, Samson and Allen; His Sisters: Ethel, and Betty, Grandparents George & Julia (Ireland) Fast Horse, and Harry & Lucy Demarrias Big Talk; Other family: Jasper Martin and Cecelia Martin, Lawrence Fast Horse, Matthew, Virginia, & Stephen Big Talk, Lucy Left Hand Thunder, Joanne Fast Horse, Scobey Lone Bear, Delphine Lone Bear, Max and Cricket Lone Bear, Jeremy Lone Bear, Kevin Alfred Birthmark, Bernadine Ann Fast Horse, Angel Rose Diserly, Jason Jones.

A wake will be held 7 p.m. Friday, September 7 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, MT.

Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
