Leonarda Ross

Leonarda Marie Ross, went to be with our Lord, February 15, 2025 at the Trinity Hospital.

Lenny was born to her parents, JoAnn (Brunelle) DesJarlais and Leonard Burshia, May 25, 1950 in Poplar, MT. Her grandparents, Lena and Daniel Burshia raised her. 

In 1969, Lenny married Jim Murphy and from this union they had 3 boys, James Murphy, Leonard Murphy, and Bryon Murphy. They later divorced then she met Dale Ross and they got married. Lenny and Dale worked for The Hope Ranch and took care of the kinds. Dale passed away in 2003 and Lenny became widowed.

Lenny then worked at Buckhorn in Poplar, MT for many years as a bartender. She then took in her grandkids, Jorda and Tayton Murphy. Later in 2005, she relocated to Colorado to help her son Leonard and took care of his 3 sons. In 2012, Lenny moved to Wolf Point, MT with her two grandkids. 

Lenny is survived by her son, James (Chelsea) Murphy; grandkids, Jorda (Devyn) Murphy, Tayton Murphy, Spencer (Alicia) Murphy, Kasey Murphy of Wolf Point, MT, Sarie Murphy of Bowman, ND, and Ethan Murphy of Florence, AZ; sister, Amber (Onstad) Sibbitts; brother William (Billy) Onstad; special friends, David Smith; daughter in law, Pearl Murphy; and great grandkids. 

Lenny is preceded in death by her sons, Leonard Murphy and Bryon Murphy; her grandson, Corey Murphy; granddaughter, Jasmine Murphy; father, Leonard Burshia; mother, JoAnn (Brunelle) DesJarlais; grandparents, Lena and Daniel Burshia; sisters, Kimberly DesJarlias, and Vera (Onstad) Vondal; and brother, Jerry Onstad.

She is going to be dearly missed. We love you so much.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, February 21 at the Wolf Point Community Hall.
