Leslie ‘Les’ Ray Abraham, age 59, of Wolf Point, MT passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Wolf Point.
Les was born on November 23, 1949 to Raymond and Phyllis (Hoffman) Abraham. He grew up south of the river and was the 2nd of twelve children. Les graduated from Wolf Point High School. He became a certified mechanic.
On May 1, 1977, he married Sharon Galster in Wolf Point. They were blessed with two children, John and Dawn.
Les worked for Wolf Point Implement, Rathert-Fox Ford and was currently employed at Wolf Point Repair.
Les worked on his own vehicles and loved to work with his son, John, restoring old tractors. He built furniture for his home, including a china cabinet for his wife and a gun cabinet for his gun collection (especially Henry’s). Les also loved listening to the am radio station in Wolf Point and was good at any trivia about rock and roll music from the 60’s and early 70’s.
Les is survived by his wife Sharon, of 32 years, his son, John Abraham of Wolf Point, MT and his daughter, Dawn (John) Bailey of Floresville, TX; brothers and sisters, Kenneth Abraham of Lacey, WA, Rosa Anderson of Sidney, MT, Mary Abraham of Vida, MT, Anna (Tom) Nichols of Wolf Point, Abe Abraham of Wolf Point, Sally (Roger) Hollowell of Lewistown, MT, Brenda Abraham of Wolf Point, Henry Abraham of Vida, Betty (Tom) Romo of Wolf Point and Vicky (Shawn) Boysun of Wolf Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Phyllis Abraham and his sister, Nancy (Rick) Harmon.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A Lunch will follow at The Elks.
