Lillian Marvel Huso Nedrud, 98, of Wolf Point, MT, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.
Lillian was born in Cottonwood, Minnesota on February 1 st , 1917. She was born on the farm in Cottonwood, Minnesota and was the oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Cottonwood High School and continued on to college and graduated from Beauty School in Minneapolis, spring of 1935.
Lillian was married to the love of her life, Sherman “Vincent” Nedrud on September 3 rd , 1939; they were married 64 ½ years. Lillian knew from the minute she saw Vincent in the church choir, that he was the one she wanted. She called it “love at first sight”. They shared a full and beautiful life together until Vincent’s passing in 2003.
In 1947 Lillian and Vincent began building their first home, they moved into it September 1948, with their son, Donald. They built onto the home in 1953 when they had their 2 nd son, David.
Lillian worked as a beautician and a homemaker the majority of her life. She enjoyed playing bridge, quilting, crossword puzzles, reading and listening to music. She was actively involved in her church. She took great joy in her children and grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by 1 son, David Nedrud (Virginia) of Pocatello, Idaho; 3 grandsons, Jens Nedrud (Stephanie) of Bellevue, Washington, James Nedrud of Chicago, Illinois, Michael Severson (Kelly) of Tualatin, Oregon; and 2 great grandchildren, Brayden Severson of Tualatin, Oregon and Miles Nedrud of Bellevue, Washington.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents Ed & Clara Huso, husband Sherman Vincent Nedrud, Brother Robert Huso, sisters Exine Leverson, Doreen Rothe and Dorothy Benjamin, son Donald Nedrud, and granddaughter Jessica Nedrud Renville.
Visitation will be Saturday January 2nd, 2016 from 1-2pm and following the visitation will be the funeral service at 2pm at The First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point.
