Lloyd James “Slugger” Ogle, passed away May 14, 2010 in Billings, MT. He was born on December 8, 1960 in Poplar, MT, to Raymond and Reba Ogle Sr. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, playing pool, and basketball and listening to music. He attended school in Poplar, MT, and Flandreau, SD. He worked at A&S Industries and as a seismographer and was also a firefighter.

He met the love of his life Williamette “Billie Jo” Ogle and was married December 8, 1998 but they were together for 24 years. From this union they had two children, Whitney Marie and William Raymond Francis Ogle.

Slugger was preceded in death by his beloved 14 year old daughter, Whitney who died June 8, 2003; his father Raymond Ogle Sr.; brother Leonard Dale “Oscar” Ogle; sister Jewel Kay Ogle; nephew Brandon Ray Red Boy; his paternal grandparents Bill and Mazie (Longee) Ogle; maternal grandparents Elmer and Mary (Two Face) Red Eagle.

He is survived by his beloved wife Billie Jo of Poplar, MT; his son William (Autumn) Ogle of Wyoming; mother Reba Ogle of Poplar; brothers Raymond “Abby” Ogle of Poplar, Elmer “Andy” (Renita) Ogle of Busby, MT; sisters Maize (Arnold) Young Bird, Mary (Greg) Plante, Judy (Arnie Bighorn) Ogle, Shari (Vern Knoble) Ogle, all of Poplar and Ronette Red Boy of Wolf Point, MT; nephews Myron (Belle), Robbie, Michael (Red Willow), Raymond (Desi), Jason, John, Aaron, Louis (Leaona), James, Daniel, Nicholas, Connor, Cameron, all of Poplar, Trenton, Charles, both of Wolf Point, Leslie of Busby, and Eugene Hale of Poplar; nieces Launa (Kenny), Markie (Duane), Lyssa (Oscar), all of Poplar, Stephanie of Ft. Totten, and Krysta who is stationed in Iraq; aunts Gloria (Bob) Garcia from San Jose, CA, Betty Ann, Georgia, Baby Doll, Pauline, Thelma, all of Poplar; uncle Everett Jones of Poplar; brothers in law Justin and Eugene Hale Sr.; and many cousins too numerous to mention. He also leaves behind 38 grandchildren from his nephews and nieces.

Extended families include Ogles, Goodwills, Lethbridges all of Canada, McDonalds, Dubois, Clinchers, Longees, Hollow Horns, Red Eagles, Garcias, Blounts, Belgardes, Adams, and many more.

A wake will be held 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 also at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside, MT.
