Lois Lou Moe

November 7, 1942 — September 29, 2016

Lois passed away on September 29, 2016 in Big Sandy, MT while on hospice. She is with the Lord now and no longer suffering.

She was born on November 7, 1942 to Verna and Vern Miller in Glendive, MT. She grew up in Richey, MT and attended grade school and high school there.  Richey was always home to her.

She later moved to Wolf Point and worked at the Triangle Café where she met Coke Moe.  They married in February of 1962.  They had two daughters and later divorced in 1982.  they remained friends as he would buy the groceries and she would cook.  She loved to cook and would feed all of us at any given time.

She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. Softball was her favorite as she an avid player, even playing in the state tournament with the “Sunshine Girls”.  She also enjoyed watching baseball and the World Series and was a big fan of rodeos.

She loved to be outdoors working and gardening. She always had an immaculate yard and house and expected her girls to have the same, and if we didn’t we would sure hear about it.  She was never afraid to voice her opinion and everyone always knew where they stood with Lois.  She was a very outspoken, stubborn lady even up until her passing.

Lois is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Verna and Gene Mickelson, her father and stepmother Vern and Agnes Miller; brother-in-law Jerry Mecum and sister Denise.

Lois is survived by her daughter Pam (Melvin); grandchildren Clay, Meagan, Mary and grandson Kyran; daughter Carla; granddaughters Paighton, Kaylie, Laynee and Loni; brothers Bob (Mary) Miller, Dick (Gail) Miller, Gerald (Marsha) Mickelson and David Posey; sisters Vickie Mecum, Karen Klundt, Marlene LaCounte and Carol Posey.

The family would like to thank all of the people that cared for Lois in her last years of her life. We really appreciate every one of you from Faith Lutheran Home and Dr. Z to Big Sandy Medical Center.
