Lora “Lori” Lynn Stone, 54, of Wolf Point, MT. was called home to be with the Lord on January 8 th , 2017 in Billings, MT.
Lori was born in Poplar, MT. to May Whitehawk and Bedford “Patrick” Forrest. She grew up and attended schools in Lander, WY. and Wolf Point, MT. Throughout her life she held various job titles. She was a Big Sky Motel housekeeper, barmaid at the VFW, sales cashier for Ben Franklin in Wolf Point and Albertsons in Cut Bank, MT.
In November 2000, she became a certified nursing assistant. She was a very devoted and reliable employee at Faith Home. She took a brief absence in Sept. 2004 to take care of her husband, James “JC” Stone. She resided in Cut Bank, MT. until his passing in 2005. She then returned to Wolf Point to take care of her mother and resume her job at Faith Lutheran Home. She was currently attending Fort Peck Community College.
Lori was known for her crafting abilities which consisted of sewing, jewelry making, and beading amongst other artistry. Many memories were made baking in Grandma May’s Kitchen with her nieces. In her spare time she enjoyed doing home improvement projects, reading, listening to music, and attending concerts. Lori had a green thumb, loved gardening and always took the time to teach things to her nieces and nephews.
Lori was a member of the Overcomers Church, a strong believer of her faith and was always willing to share scripture and offer prayers for any circumstance her family and friends were facing. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, amazing work ethic and compassion for people. Her absence will be felt by all who knew her. She made a huge impact in the lives of many. When God made Lori, he truly broke the mold.
Lori is survived by her brothers; Loren, Lionel and Nathan all of Wolf Point, MT.; her sisters; Edna Forrest of Browning, MT. Lisa of Helena, MT. and Ramona of Bismarck, ND.; nephews Curtis, Jordan, Aaron, Austin, Travis & Dylan; nieces Theresa, Alisha, Ashley, Alanna, Aricka, Shailee, Kelly, Breeanna; 21 Grandchildren and her loving aunt Elaine Cantrell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Louise Bokas, husband JC Stone, sister-in-law Kathie Forrest.
