Lori Marie Weeks, age 39, of Wolf Point, MT left us to be with her Granny Lil on Friday, July 1, 2013. Lori was born on January 7, 1974 in Wolf Point to Rita Weeks and Daniel Schauer. Lori lived most of her life on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. Lori completed school in 1990 and married Elmer Adams in 1991. Lori and Elmer were foster parents to many children in the area, who all held a special place in her heart. Lori kept in contact with many of them.
Lori graduated from the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and worked as a Correctional Officer at the Fort Peck Youth Services Center in Poplar for several years. Lori loved working with the youth and held great compassion for the youth in her care.
On November 7, 2000, Elmarie was born. Lori always referred to her as “her miracle baby”. Lori and Elmarie moved to Bismarck, ND in 2002, where she had many friends and adopted relatives. She was especially close to her uncles, Jesse Clairmont and Dave Gipp. Lori moved back to Wolf Point in 2011, where she lived until her death.
Lori is survived by her mother, Rita Weeks of Wolf Point; daughters, Elmarie, Elcha, Carmie Lynn, Tashina, and Elsie all of Wolf Point; son, Elmer, III of Wolf Point; brothers, Bob, Daniel, Eric, Joseph, Jason, and Little Daniel all of Wolf Point; aunts, Jody, Dot, Jackie, Linda, and Lois; uncles, Gary, Dennis, John, David, Tom, and Wayne; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lori, we love you and you will always be missed.
A rosary will be held 6 p.m. Friday, July 5 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point.
