Margaret Marion Heidner 92 Of Wolf Point

December 23, 1923 — December 1, 2016

Margaret Marion Heidner, age 92 passed away Dec. 1 2016 at the Billings Clinic, Billings Mt. Margaret was born to NF and Katie Toavs at their home north of Wolf Point on Dec. 23, 1923. She attended grade school at the Wide Awake School, graduated from Wolf Point High School and attended Grace University.

She accepted Christ as Savior while attending DVBS. She was baptized and became a member of the Bethel Wolf Point Church. She married the love of her life Thomas Heidner on March 22, 1946. That winter they lived in Omaha, NE while Thomas attended GU. Their first daughter Susan was born there. In spring, they moved back to Wolf Point to farm N.E. of Wolf Point where they lived for 67 years. To this union was born 5 more children, Carolyn, Leslie, Vivian, Beverly and L. Jeanette. Margaret was an active member of the Community Bible Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, sang in the choir, and was active in the Helping Hands Mission Society. Margaret loved gardening, and kept meticulous handwritten records of her canning from 1946 to 2016. She sewed for her daughters many beautiful dresses and clothing. She helped her husband with farming, even helping him move equipment at age 92. Margaret lovingly made graduation quilts for each of her grandchildren and crocheted many gifts for family and friends. She took painting classes for 2 years adorning their home with many lovely paintings. She loved poetry, memorizing scripture verses, music, and singing with the family and encouraging her children to sing and play instruments. She was fascinated watching God’s creatures, wildlife, and animals at play. She took great joy in teaching her many skills and interests to her children and grandchildren.

This past summer she was honored with Thomas at a celebration (attended by all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren) honoring their 70 years of marriage. They shared a special relationship. They began every morning and ended every night with a conversation of their daily plans and events. They made each other laugh, held hands, and were kind to each other being the ultimate example of love and sacrifice to their family.
