Margaret “Bonnie” Marianne The Boy

March 14, 1948 — October 15, 2017

Margaret Marianne (Comes Last) The Boy, AKA- “Bonnie” or “Bonnie Boots” was born on March 14, 1948. She was born to Rose Marie Comes Last and James McConell (AKA Jimmy Skunk) in Frazer, Montana, where she attended school.

When Bonnie was 16, she met a man in the truck stop where she worked as a waitress with her adopted mom “Violeta” (Grandma Vera) she used to say “I hate that man, he’s always winking at me!” But ol’ Smitty Ted never gave up, he eventually won her heart. After a brief separation, as fate would have it, their paths crossed once more. The love they had was inevitable, undeniable, and unforgettable. They were inseparable. If Smitty left town, Bonnie followed, and if Bonnie left him in Havre (again) lol…. Smitty followed. The love they shared had always brought them together no matter where they were or lived. Smitty always said she was the most beautiful woman he ever seen and he meant it. Smitty loved Bonnie ‘till his last breath. With this love they were blessed with a very large family.

Bonnie was a homemaker she loved to cook, clean, and listen to Conway Twitty and Freddie Fender, and play machines and bingo. And boy, did she love to “Gayopi” if the family or friends didn’t know anything about anyone they would go to her because she was the Wotanin’ lol. They say “Call Bonnie!” She knew everybody’s everything’s. She especially loved “her boys” they come visit her almost daily, they would all walk in and say “Hey Bonnie Boots, you ol’ goat, whatchu doing!?” They always had fun visiting with her, she loved to laugh and joke with them. Bonnie was loved by all who knew her or had the privilege of meeting her, she always had a sense of humor with a quick comeback. She enjoyed Pow-wows and Hangin’ with Mindy at “Auntie’s Yellow Bus”, watching the “multitudes” (as she would say) at the street dance. Bonnie will be dearly missed by all, family, friends, etc. She was called home on October 15, 2017 at the tender age of 69.
