Marilyn Anne (Sowle) Logan, age 71, of Brockway, MT passed away February 17, 2010.

Marilyn was born March 27, 1938 in Fort Peck, MT to Ben and Anne (Kerr) Sowle. She attended school and graduated from Circle High School. Marilyn attended Bozeman and Eastern College for one year each. She then went on to teach one year in Scobey, MT.

Finding the love of her life, Marilyn married John E Logan on June 13, 1959 in Brockway, MT. They made their home and raised their family in Brockway. Marilyn and John were married for 50 years.

Marilyn was actively involved in the Nelson Creek Homemaker’s Club and Brockway Commercial Club. She enjoyed the Lutheran women’s quilting club, Montana Make It Yourself With Wool and she served as a board member at the nursing home.

Her favorite things were sewing, gardening, church work, cooking, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Anne Sowle. She will be missed by husband, John E Logan; son, Ben C. Logan of Brockway; granddaughter, Nycole Lynn (David) Barbula of Circle; grandson, Loren A. (Melissa) Logan of Arvada, CO; sister-in-law Eleanor Borgan of Circle; three sisters, Agnes (Delno) Pawlowski of Circle, Maybelle (Bill) Riddle of Clarkston, WA and Burdice (Dave) Gibbs of Circle; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service for Marilyn will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, Circle with interment following at Brockway Cemetery.
