Mark Quincy McClammy “Wakan Wiyaka Nunpa Wicasa” (Holy Two Eagle Feather Man) completed his journey in this life and started his new journey into the next on July 31, 2020 at the Billings Clinic.
Mark was born to Jackie Stormy and Robert “Pinner” McClammy on May 7, 1987 in Poplar, MT. As a young boy Mark spent time living with his mother and stepfather John and his Grandma Lorraine. He was a grandma’s boy and enjoyed the time he spent with her. He enjoyed growing up around his cousins, uncles and his friends who became family over the years. He was especially close with his brother Michael and sister Sherry as he was the middle of the bunch (only a year younger than Sherry and 11 months older than Michael). Mark attended schools in Brockton and Poplar until his sophomore year when he transferred to Chemawa in Oregon with his sister Sherry. At Chemawa he met lifelong friends and mentors who became more like family to him. He loved his time there playing basketball as a Brave and the countless hours of open gym and attending the school field trips to Portland and other locations.
After high school Mark attended Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. He attended with some of his Chemawa friends and also met many new friends during his two years there. After taking a break from college, Mark moved to Billings with his adopted brother Griffin and family and cousins’ Matt, Bosh and Connor. He worked various jobs in the Billings area, enjoyed fun times with his cousins and playing ball at North Park and the MSU Billings Rec Center. He later moved back home to Poplar and became a father to his first born Rebekka Ann’Marie and again with his second born Sherri Lorraine. He loved his daughters and valued the time he spent with them.
Mark’s favorite past times were watching basketball at any level, whether it be watching his favorite player LeBron on NBA TV, the Poplar Indians or his little brother play for the Brockton Warriors; playing ball at open gym; hunting and fishing with his brother Griff and Kevin Buckles or his buddy Steve Smoker; cruising with his Mom; playing dice; gambling and visiting with friends and family. He was never in a rush and didn’t mind the extra time it took to complete a task; he did everything in a certain order and enjoyed his routines; and also despite his inability to stay awake too long in a car as a passenger he found a lot of joy as a TERO Driver for the Sidney Sugarbeet vans where he liked meeting new people, visiting the regulars and appreciated his coworkers and boss.
Lastly Mark was always concerned about the people he cared about from all walks of life. He made sure to check on everyone and provide support any way he could when people needed him. He had a good sense of humor and his own slang which all who knew him would eventually start using what we referred to as “Mark Q” lingo. He was humble and good to everyone. He also took the role of Uncle to his many nieces and nephews to heart. He was always down to take them to the movies, go for cruises, support them in their activities and just visit and laugh with them. He also became “uncle” to their friends without any questions.

We also know he has found peace being reunited with his sister Sherry, Uncle Richard, Grandma Lorraine and good friend Myron whom he talked about and missed every day.
