Marvin Clyde Bullchief, Jr., “Charging Raven” (Kaģinadá), our beloved father, husband, uncle, papa, cousin was called home on October 18, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital with all his loved ones by his side.
Marvin was born on March 17, 1966 in Wolf Point, MT. He is the son of Darlene Fourstar (Gray) and Marvin Bullchief, Sr. He grew up in Frazer, MT and graduated from Frazer.
Later on, in Marvin’s years 2 families were combined. He met the love of his life, Amanda LaDean Red Eagle on July 9, 1997 and married her February 7, 1998. Out of that they had 8 children, Renae, Jason (Julia), Kyleen (AJ), Bradley, Quentin (Sam), Miranda, Kyle and Darris (DeeDee).
Marvin worked for the Fort Peck Transportation for 15 years and really enjoyed the company of his passengers. Marvin enjoyed spending time with his family and all his grandchildren and friends. He loved singing at powwows in his early years with all his friends and was a champion Fort Peck Sioux Singer. Marvin loved to draw, do art, crafts and teach all his grandchildren different things. Marvin loved all his grandchildren the same. His baby girls whom he raised are Jacora Youngman (Ben Daniels) and Daralyn Bullchief, his baby boy Jathan RedEagle who he also raised. He was also raising Ashlyn, Kay, Jameryn, Sean, Dreyton, Jacoven, Pearl, Jayden, Jocelyn, My’Aunna, Blithe, Anissa, CeCee, Cecil, Deland and Jacobey Blackthunder and Betty Bear whom he also loved.
He is survived by his brothers, Steven Douglas, Jr., Brian Jones, Rory Hotomanie and Gerrad RedEagle; his sisters, Emmy Lou, Marva, Myra (Brian), Carole, Mary (Greg), DeeDee (Pee Wee), Kathy (CP), Glenna (Danny), LeAnne (Louie), Maurine (Rick), Lynette, Tara (Robert), Melanie (Rollie), Taryn (Harlin); adopted sisters Ann Denny and Denise Bear Hill; adopted daughter Jennifer RedThunder; his auntie, Arlene Jackson and uncle Andy Fourstar; his loving wife, children and 27 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Darlene Fourstar (Gray); father Marvin Bullchief, Sr.; brothers, Valen Hotomanie, Sr. and Larron Hotomanie; sisters, Shirlene Bullchief and Twyla Bullchief; uncle Clair Fourstar, Sr., Dallas Fourstar; cousin, Corwin Fourstar.
Marvin Jr., it broke our hearts to lose you so soon. For you did not go alone a part of “us” went with you. God called you home. A loving husband, dad, papa, and friend. You will be truly missed. We love you, until we meet again.
