Mary Redlich

April 19, 1955 — June 6, 2010

Our Mary was received into the compassionate arms of the Lord on June 6, 2010 at St. Vincent Healthcare Center in Billings, MT, after a battle with Crohn’s disease. She was born on April 19, 1955, to Gordon and Helen Waller in Circle, MT, she was raised on the family farm and educated at the Circle Schools.

She married Keith Redlich on July 7, 1973 and they moved to Billings where she was employed by Keystone Automotive. When they began their family, she opened a daycare center in their home and lovingly cared for numerous children for ten years. She later worked with Keith in his drafting business.

She was proud of her accomplishments as President of the Billings Heights Little League Club, raising funds for the improvement of the ball fields and providing guidance and fairness to many youngsters who were in the program.

They moved to Dillon in 2000, where she and her husband owned and operated a motel and a restaurant/sports pub at which she was an extraordinary cook. She was on a first name basis with most of their customers, always striving to meet their expectations.

Mary was a kind and caring person giving wholeheartedly of her mind, heart, and often her table and roof as she befriended young people who others had rejected–all the while counseling them sternly in ways that would help them through tough times and make their lives better. She made a difference in so many peoples’ lives—always a strong advocate for what was right and fair. Her humor, smile, and glowing blue eyes will never be forgotten.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Harold and Lucille Waller and Floyd and Clarissa Quick of Circle, MT.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Keith; sons, Brad Redlich and wife, Kat of Billings, MT, and Bryan Redlich of Dillon, MT; grandchildren, River and Lela Redlich of Billings, MT; parents, Gordon and Helen Waller of Circle, MT; sisters Lois and her husband, Les Leibrand of Scobey, MT, Lorie Zimdars of Dillon, MT, Lisa and her husband Robin Stroh of Harlem, MT; brother Harold Waller of Circle, MT; nieces and nephews, Gordy, Karla, and Martin Leibrand, Charlie, Clarissa and Jay Zimdars, Robert, Benjamin, and Rebecca Stroh, Vanessa and Elliot Waller; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at the First Lutheran Church in Circle, MT. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Circle, MT. Memorials can be given to Crohn’s Disease research at Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, Attn: Honor & Memorial Gifts, P.O.
