Mervin Dean Lambert, “Boomerz”, our beloved dad, brother, nephew, cousin, grandpa, and uncle, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point, MT at 6:40 p.m.
He was born to Mervin Dean Lambert, Sr., and Leola Jean Jones on April 30, 1963. He was 50 years old. He attended school in Poplar, MT. Throughout his life he had a good sense of humor. He had a nickname for everyone and always teased. He was a firefighter and an avid artist.
In 1986, he met Birdie DeCoteau, and in 1989 his only daughter, Jane Lee, was born. He was a proud father and showed her off to everyone.
He is survived by his daughter, Jane Lee DeCoteau of Poplar; brothers, Leslie and Lenard Lambert of Poplar; aunts, Debra Clark and Linde Littlehead of Poplar; uncles, Mervyn Shields, Arlie Shields, and Adrian Fourstar all of Poplar and Randolph Lambert of Cannon Ball, ND; sister, Roxanne Lambert of Wyoming; and numerous cousins and uncles, too many to mention.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leola Jean and Mervin Dean; grandmother, Rosaline Shields; brother, Midas “Beanie” Lambert; sister, Shirley Lambert, uncles, Guy Lamber, Ricky Lambert, Roy “Soggy” Jones, and Edward “Stuta” Shields; and aunts, Noreen Lambert and Odessa Fourstar.
A rosary will be held 7 p.m. Friday, August 16 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 17 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar.
