Michael Duane Azure, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Wolf Point, MT.
Michael was born to Lazare Ezear John Azure and Emily Bruguier Azure on July 14, 1961 in Poplar, MT.
He attended Northside, Southside School and Wolf Point High School. At age 16, he quit school and started working with his father in the construction field. He continued to work in the construction field most of his life, sometimes with his brothers. Affectionately known as Monk to family and friends, he was the 9 th out of 12 children.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying any type of hunting and fishing with his brothers. Family meant the world to Monk, he loved his many nieces and nephews as though they were his own. He was quite the storyteller to anyone who had the time to visit and listen about his many adventures.
He was a very generous person, always giving friends and family tokens of his love and appreciation. He was always checking in on family, friends and neighbors to make sure they were doing well and had what they needed. He loved any type of family gatherings where he could visit and see his brothers, sisters, cousins and friends.
He was a heck of a salesman, he could buy, sell or barter anything. Always making sure to share his treasures with his family and friends, he loved a good garage sale.
He will be missed by his siblings, family and many friends.
He is survived by 3 brothers and 8 sisters. Rodney (Carol) Azure of Poplar, MT, Donna (Richard) Taylor of Billings, MT, Pauline (Bert) Feuvray of Hardin, MT, Sharon Azure of Gallup, NM, Linda Azure of Minneapolis, MN, Connie (Frank) MacDonald of Wolf Point, MT, Craig (Jennifer) Azure of Wolf pOint, MT, Kevin Azure of Wolf Point, MT, Judy Azure of Edina, MN, Rita (Dennis) Langager of Billings, MT and Sherl (Ron) Shanks of Brockton, MT; numerous nephews and nieces who he loved very much, along with many grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; grandparents Louis and Catherine Azure and Leo and Elsie Bruguier and niece Monique Strauser.
He leaves behind many family members and friends too numerous to name who will all miss him dearly. He will always be loved and never forgotten. Rest in peace and fly with the angels in heaven.
