Mitchell Loren Clark, Sr. (He who helps many) was born on July 14, 1957 to Calvin and Gertrude “Tootie” Clark in Gary, Indiana. Mitchell was a kind, loving, humble, good-hearted son, brother, dad, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
He attended school in Gary, IN until the family moved home to Wolf Point, MT and from then he attended Wolf Point High School. Shortly after that he joined the US Army where he was a part of the 82 nd Airborne Division our of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After 4 years in active duty, he joined the Fort Peck Bureau of Indian Affairs Tribal Police.
Mitchell aka Red Chest Bear is preceded in death by his dad and mom, Calvin and Gertrude Clark, brothers Kermit Clark, Rusty Jackson and Roland Clark, sisters Ethel Mae “Pie” Jackson, Judy (Ceyenne) Rodriguez of Chicago, Illinois, Linda Clark and son-in-law Darrell Christian.
Mitchell is survived by his brothers Ronald (Ruth) Jackson, Gerald “Bootsie” (Shirley) Jackson, Calvin Clark, Jr., sister Coleen Clark, his children Wenona (Angel) Sloan-Clark, Andrea Christian, Mitchalene Clark, Mitchell L. Clark, Jr., Calvin V. Clark, Loren Michael Joseph Clark, Elisha Barker, Nick Desjarlais and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Darlene Follette and Lois Black for being such close friends and a tremendous help through all of this.
