Mycel Harry Young, ” Thašúŋka Dúta” Red Horse, was called Home on June 26, 2021 at the Poplar Hospital.
Mycel “Mikey” was born in Williston, ND, on June 12, 1987 to The Late Sarah Lou Three Stars and Orlando Moses Young Sr. Mikey lived his life in Poplar. He attended Poplar Schools and Graduated in 2006. He worked as a JDC Guard, Fish and Game Warden, Wolf point Sand & Gravel, OEP, And Fencing Laborer.
Mikey enjoyed playing basketball, dancing with his Grandpa Harry Three Stars, cruising around listening to music with his kids (His Dogs), joking around making everyone laugh, Mikey was a gentle giant, enjoyed spending time with his Nieces, Raykira Track, Jesslynn, Jennessa; and Nephews, Julius and Jeremy Cantrell.
Mikey leaves behind his sister Ashley (Jonathan) Vondall; his Baby “Rosie”; grandmas, Naomi Young, Juanita (Doug) Youngman, Louise Smith, and Beverly “Shags” Bird; Aunts, Marylou And Kathy Azure, Luella Montclair, Melissa (David) Montclair, Dorsey Young, Starla and Nicole Longee, and Doreen Martell; sissy, Valarie Nepsted; uncles, Harry (Marva) Three Stars Jr, Roy(Madonna) Azure, Conrad and William Young, Robert “Lil Guy” Montclair, and Curtis “Pony Boy” Montclair; cousins, Ethan and Harry Three Stars, Preston Low Dog, Joesph Buckles, Joe and Gen Azure, David, Louie, Johnny Magnan, Ida Lynn (J.R) Fast Horse, Jeffrey Azure, Liz and Patricia Lambert, Orlando, Myah Young, Deejay, David Parker, Wyatt, Justice, Tanner, Chelsea Montclair, Lakota, Dakota, Conrad, Brandon, Heather, Collin, Delaine, Avery Young, Travis Bear, Bobby Montclair, Willy, Whitney, and Jessica Martell; and adopted uncle Jeff Adams.
He is also related to the Lester, Youpee, Olson, Carpentier, Longtree, DeMarrias, Bighorn, BlackDog, Rattling Thunder, Little Head, Braun, DeCoteau, Montclair, and Iron Bear families. Our family is too numerous to mention, if we left anyone out, we apologize.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Lou Three Stars; father, Orlando Moses Young Sr; brother, Orlando Moses Young Jr; Grandma, Hazel and Harry Three Stars; great grandmas, Sarah Three Stars and Effie Cloud Two Bulls; grandpa, Eugene “Cob” Weinberger.
Mikey will be missed by all who knew him..
A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Poplar Cultural Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements and condolences for the family may be left by using the form below.
