Nicholas A. Barrera, known as the Burrito Man, was born on January 3, 1950 in Phoenix, AR to Virginia (Brings Three White Horses) Barrera and Jesus Barrera.
He attended school In Phoenix, AR and graduated from Pan American University in Phoenix, AR. He then when on the pow-wow trail with his parents (The Taco Bus), he also worked in Alaska on shipping boats. He then came to Wolf Point to work as a bouncer for Arlos’s Bar, that’s where he met his beautiful wife of 46 years, Elaine Lilley. They were married on August 4 th in Wolf Point, and their journey began with raising their two granddaughters. Nick had worked for the Fort Peck Tribes and was well known for his burritos; he would get calls as early as 6:00 a.m. just to make friends burritos.
Nick is survived by his wife Elaine (Lilley) Barrera; kids Augustine Barrera of Anadarko, OK, Nicole Barrera also of Anadarko, OK and Orlando Barrera of Wolf Point; grandchildren Sierra, Swaya, Layna, A’Liyah, Nikyiyah, Miguel, Marceleno, Soul Crux; sisters Mary Delacruz and Sylvia Barrera; brother Tony Barrera; sisters-in-law Julie Christian, Lois Black, Terri Adams, and Stacey Lilley (Curtis Foster); brothers-in-law Steven (Rhonda) Lilley, Chicky (Dawn) Lilley, Perry (Imogene) Lilley.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents Virginia and Jesus Barrera; brothers Mike, Jesus Jr., Pete, Phillip and sister Gloria.
