Noreen Beth Ironbear White Bull – Grey Elk Woman “Hehaka Hota Winyan”

February 2, 1954 — April 5, 2022

Noreen Beth IronBear White Bull – Grey Elk Woman “Hehaka Hota Winyan”, was born February, 2nd 1954. She was born to Mary Red Feather Iron Bear and Harry R. Iron Bear Sr. In Chelsea Montana she was raised until they moved to the Old Place South West of Poplar Mt on the Iron Bear Estate, then onto the hill & eventually moved to the family home west of Poplar. Noreen attended school at Poplar Schools. She was an Oil Celebration Princess of 1972-73. She went off to Anadarko Oklahoma, Riverside Boarding School where she Graduated in 1974. The summers of 72-74 she came home she babysat & cared for her niece Debra Granbois, Beth loved Debz as her own daughter, she replaced a void in her heart Beth would say. She worked at NEMTHS as a CNA for many years, she then moved on to the BIA Realty Department, where she worked for many years until she retired in 2007. Beth enjoyed Pow wow’s, she enjoyed the music as well as watching Grass Dancers and Cruising with Jake. She loved her Sons, Merle and Jada with all her heart, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She continued a lifelong friendship and relationship with her lifetime partner, her soulmate Jake White Bull, they gave birth to their son Loudon IronBear White Bull. Reluctantly life took them both in different paths and they separated for some years. During this time Beth met & married Kenneth Olson Sr. her flame that burned so brightly in her heart. From that Marriage she gave birth to Kenny Olson Jr. and Troy (Aske) Olson. Beth and Kenny divorced and she remained single for some years. Jake White Bull moved back to Poplar and they found each other again and remarried. They cared for & loved each other to the end of this life.
She is survived by her son’s: Loudon Iron Bear White Bull (Gerarda Talks Different), gave her her grandsons Troy, Merle, and Louie Iron Bear White Bull, whom she raised. AS well as a very special granddaughter Jada White Bull whom Beth and Jake loved dearly and raised also. Troy Iron Bear White Bull & Rayline Darnell(Teaira FastHorse) gave her a great granddaughter Evelyn Iron Bear White Bull. Louie Iron Bear White Bull (Alex Firemoon) gave her a great grandbaby Paisley Iron Bear White Bull & Miracle, Marita Iron Bear are being raised by Linda & Jeff Spotts of Alaska ,Eli Fox, Jacob Mato Maza, another daughter of Wolf Point Mt.. (Marsha Martell) Luliann & Braverly Iron Bear White Bull. Kenny Olson Jr (Launna Swanson) gave her grandchildren Kenny Olson III, Coy, Kayla and Wade Olson & Carol Faith Olson. As well as her Hunka (adopted) son Chris Youpee and another Hunka daughter Lana Danials.
Beth belongs to the Mato Maza Tiospaye, Her siblings are as fallows & their Tiwahe’s: Her sisters she loved unconditionally Gloria Buckles, Linda & Dave Lezard (Dana, Shannon & Mary), Myra & Jon Daniels(Lana, Miranda, Jon Jr., Malaciah, Jeramiah, & Benjamin), Cheryl & Butch Boyd(Harold Jr, Brandy, Merle), James K. IronBear (Jessica, Carrie, James Jr, Brittany), her baby brother she loved with all her heart Anthony IronBear & Patrice IronBear (Marcie IronBear), Ivan Roberts, Debra & Bryan Granbois, Cindy Bear, Lisa & Alfred IronBear, Harry III, Mandy, & Heather Iron Bear (Midina Yankton), & many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
To the other Tiospaya she is related too: Red Feathers, Grays, Long Foxes, EagleBoy, Johnsons, Sparvier, Sterling & Myme RedEagle’s, GreyHawks, Spotted Birds, GreyBears, Merculiefs.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry & Mary IronBear Sr. brothers: Merle Iron Bear, Hoksina Harry Iron Bear Jr., Alfred Iron Bear Sr., Lonnie Iron Bear, Sisters: Sandra Red Elk, Betty Jo Iron Bear, Charmaine R. Iron Bear. Husband Jake White Bull, & Granddaughter Kenzlie Olson & Mikaela Mato Maza.

A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Poplar Cultural Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment will follow at the Chelsea Cemetery.
