Pearl Audrey Blount FourBear “Gicizapi Winyan” (Fighter Woman) passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at NEMHS Poplar Hospital surrounded by her family. Pearl was born on April 7, 1925 to Kathleen Red Eagle Blount and George Blount, Sr. On December 26, 1950, Pearl married Ervin FourBear in Phoenix, AZ.
Throughout Pearl’s life she worked many jobs which included the Gun factory, hospitals, A&S Industries, Brockton school and the Senior Citizens Center in Poplar. She also had a passion for making star quilts. Pearl loved to visit with everyone and loved to make her family and friends laugh.
Pearl is survived by her children Myron FourBear of Brockton, Theresa (Ray) FourBear of Brockton, Irene Evenson of Brockton and Dennis (Felicia) FourBear of Brockton; grandchildren Geraldine (Mike) Ward of Poplar, Rayette Lambert of Brockton, Wilfred Lambert of Brockton, Roberta Campbell of Brockton, Merilee (Robin) Clark of Poplar, Tatum Evenson of Billings, Carrie Dawn FourBear of Poplar, Natalie Red Eagle of Frazer, Erica FourBear of Culbertson and Keyvin and Kylie FourBear of Wolf Point; 25 great-grandkids and 2 great great-grandkids; brother Dean Blount of Frazer, sisters Marietta Babe FourBear of Brockton, Rita Talks Different of Frazer and Arlene Standing of Frazer; adopted sons Terry RT, Leland (Doris) SB and Nathaniel Longhair, Jr,; adopted grandsons Darryl Joe and Rodney Tuttle; adopted daughter Sandra Yellow Hammer; special nieces/cousins Eileen Buckman of Billings, Alice LongHair of Ft. Kipp and Judy Johnson of Brockton; and her extended families Choppers, WhiteEagle, Perrys, Black Dogs, Red Eagles, Little Crow and Blounts.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents George Blount, Sr. and Kathleen Red Eagle Blount; husband Ervin FourBear sons Kevin FourBear and Isaac Black Dog; daughter Kathleen Lambert; grandchildren Kim, Isaac, Phillip, Mandy and Harold Red Eagle and 1 great great-grandson Benz; brothers Wayne, Myron, Dennis and George Jr. Blount; sisters Lucille of Blue Earth and Marian Blount of Frazer.
