Pearl Janetta Nedrud, age 99, of Wolf Point, MT passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Home.
Pearl was born January 4, 1910 in Norwich, ND to Henry and Elizabeth (Birkholz) Westra. She attended school in Poplar, MT.
Pearl married Norman Nedrud on January 26, 1935 at the Nedrud family home in Wolf Point. They were married 67 years before Norman passed away in 2002.
Pearl worked at the telephone company in Wolf Point for 17 years and for Optometrist Dr. Harada as a receptionist for 17 years. She then worked as a receptionist at Haven’s Flooring.
Pearl was a member of First Lutheran Church and involved in WELCA and the church choir.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Raymond Westra, Paul Westra, Irvin Westra, Ernest Westra and Nina Penner.
Pearl is survived by her daughter Susan Allmer (Larry Corns) of Wolf Point; two sisters-in-law Lillian Nedrud of Wolf Point and Vera Westra of Verndale, MN; one grandson Lee Allmer of Ft. Worth, TX; and two great-grandchildren Charlene and Terry Allmer.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009 at First Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Greg Holler-Dinsmore will be officiating.
