Phillip H. Granbois, Jr. was called to the most beautiful place by the Lord and our Creator on May 29, 2015. Papa is no longer in pain. He was 65 years young.
Phillip was the eldest child of Phillip and Beulah (Melbourne) Granbois.
Phillip served on the Poplar School Board from 1994-1997, worked as a pizza cook in the early 70’s, at A & S Industries in rifle repair, worked as a counselor at the Hope Ranch, and was the director of Tribal Enterprises from 1981-2015.
Phillip loved his pool and played in many tournaments in Montana and North Dakota. He won many jackets and pool sticks throughout his travels.
Phillip later married and divorced Pauline and they had three children: Phillip III, Meredith (Kirby) Granbois, and Clifford Granbois, Sr.. He had 21 grandchildren, Tyson, Tyrell, Madison Granbois, Tyrone, Tyden Reynolds, Phiona, Phillip IV, Sydney, Dillon Granbois, Raven, Caitlyn, Clifford, Kyle Granbois, Gage Ironleggins, Thnae Longtree, Joseph Jr., Precious, Cherish, Savior, Mystical, Blake and Aribella.
He is survived by a son and daughter, a brother Don (Bernita) Granbois; sisters Shirley (Gerald) Jackson, Sharon Granbois, Diane (Bob); uncle Manny Melbourne, Auntie Donna Chase, his cousin Larry Burshia; adopted mother Reba Ogle; adopted brothers Arlyn Headdress and Raymond Ogle; adopted daughters Misty Ironleggins, lonelle Rising Sun; adopted son Charles Longtrrr. Phillip has a special niece Philline Moran as well as too many nieces and nephews to mention. And many more grandchildren from his nieces and nephews. Phillip will be missed by all.
Phillip was preceded in death by a son Clifford W. Granbois, his parents Phillip and Beulah, in-laws Alice and Clarence Longtree, grandsons Jake Preston and Carlon Longtree, brothers Glen, Ray and James Granbois, brothers in law Robert, Kevin and Stanley Longtree, John Hindu Muskrat, sister in law Clarice Ironleggins, his uncles Clifford Melbourne, Jim, Raymond, Brian, and Alfred Melbourne.
