Richard Midas “Ricky” Lambert Sr., age 56, of Wolf Point, Montana passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point, MT.
Rick was born to Midas and Jenny Eagle Boy Lambert in Poplar, MT on April 16, 1953. He grew up and attended schools in Poplar and Wolf Point but obtained his GED in Lompac, CA. Rick received his degree in Auto Mechanics from North American River College in Sacramento CA. He worked for a time for Green’s Salvage and Ford Garage as a mechanic. He owned and operated Rick’s Auto Repair for a number of years.
Rick enjoyed playing guitar and was a member of Cool Breeze and Thunder Road bands. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Doris Red Dog Lambert of Wolf Point; a son, Richard Lambert Jr. of Wolf Point; three stepsons, Stewart (Jennifer) Dale and David Dale of Wolf Point and Marion Dale of Sioux City, IA and one stepdaughter, Susan (Dennis) Dale of Sioux City, IA; one brother, Randolph Lambert of Cannonball, ND and one sister, Joyce (Dennis) Lambert of Wolf Point; a special grandson (whom he helped raise), David J. Dale of Wolf Point and Richie Comes Last of Wolf Point who took him as a father; his numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Midas and Jenny Lambert, two sisters, Norma and Norene Lambert; four brothers, Guy, Stansel, Eldred and Dean Lambert; four nieces, Vonda Martin, Nicole Lambert, Amanda Lambert and Twila Martin and one nephew, Elton Sam Lambert.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with an Evening Service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Pastor June Lockwood will be officiating accompanied by Pastor Melda Lambert. Interment will follow at King Memorial Cemetery followed by a dinner at Silver Wolf Casino. Condolences may be sent to www.stevensonandsons.com.
