Robert Lee Escarcega, age 78, of Federal Way, WA, passed away March 15, 2011 in Federal Way.
Robert, the son of Joseph and Bessie (Cox) Escarcega, was born March 17, 1932 in Frazer, MT. He grew up and attended schools in Frazer. Robert enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean War from December 1950 until his honorable discharge in December 1953.
On March 18, 1970 he married Mary Escarcega in Missoula, MT. They were later divorced in February 1990.
Robert was employed by the Indian Heath Service as a social worker and mental health consultant. He was an avid square dancer and fisherman. Robert was also a member of the St. Theresa’s parish in Federal Way.
He is survived by his sons, Robert E. Escarcega of Wolf Point, Patrick J. Escarcega and Anthony Escarcega both of Seattle, WA; half brother, Tom Escarcega of Poplar, MT; ex-wife, Mary Escarcega of Federal Way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 8 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Interment will be held May 30 at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Frazer. The time will be announced at a later date.
