Robert Hisami Kawasaki

Robert Hisami Kawasaki, age 84, of Wolf Point, MT, died on January 10, 2009 at Trinity Hospital.

He was born to Minosuke Kawasaki and Fusa (Sakamoto) Kawasaki in Olaa, Hawaii on July 29, 1924. He was raised in Hawaii, where he graduated from Hilo High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. He then lived in Chicago, Illinois for a short time, before moving to Wolf Point, where he spent the rest of his life.

Robert was an accomplished rifleman. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fly fishing and woodworking. Over the years, he had made thousands of wooden nameplates for people all across the United States.

He is survived by his four sons: Allen Kawasaki of Portland, OR, Jerry (Jodee) Kawasaki of Anchorage, AK, Casey (Connie) Kawasaki of Frazer, MT, and Bryce (Jenny) Kawasaki of Gallatin Gateway, MT. Robert was also “Papa Bob” to five grandchildren: Codi, Doug, Danelle, Cauy and Caul Kawasaki and to three great-grandchildren: Caun, Vaun and Camden.

Cremation has taken Place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
