Rocky Dale Clark II, “Rocko”, of Poplar, passed away on August 24, 2009 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Rocky was born on March 3, 1986 to Millie (Youpee) Runs Through and Rodney Dale Clark, also known as Rocky, in Williston, North Dakota. Rocky attended school in his earlier years in Poplar and then went on to earn his GED. Rocky was known for his love and his protectiveness of his family and his friends.

Rocky was a talented artist. In his free time he created many great works of art for his mother. He loved to spend his time listening to music and hanging out with his family and his “boys.” He will be remembered fondly for his teasing and jokes; as well as for giving his friends crazy nicknames. He was a friend who was known for “giving it straight” and being there for his friends. Rocky was an avid pool player. He could always be seen playing at many of the local pool tournaments. He especially liked to spend time with his Aunts Kate and Jamie playing pool or just hanging out. He was very proud of his daughter, Meliyah Tahlene Clark. Rocky loved her with all of his heart, along with Tyrie Walking Eagle whom he called his son.

Rocky is survived by his mother and stepfather, Millie and Marion Runs Through of Poplar; his sisters, Windy (Eric) Howard, Millie (9mill) Runs Through, Rhonda Clark, and Rosetta Clark of Poplar and brother Marion Runs Through, Jr. and step-brother, Cody Charbonneau, both of Poplar. He is also survived by daughter Meliyah Clark and son Tyrie Walking Eagle , his special friend, Chili Lee Walking Eagle all of Poplar; grandfathers Jim Youpee of Brockton and Lloyd Youpee of Poplar. Uncles Sheldon (Ilenda) Youpee, Russell (Genine) Youpee, and Willie Ricker of Poplar, Robert (Lou) of Brockton, Terry Red of Wolf Point, and Tom Runs Through and Wallace Runs Through, Jr. of Frazer. Aunts Dolly Boyd, Sharon Red Thunder, Jeanette “Kate” Youpee of Poplar, Linda Red Boy, Jamie Youpee, and Bernadette Wind of Brockton, Marva Runs Through and Janeen Beston of Frazer, Debbie Runs Through of Oswego, Kathy Talks Different of Hays, Carol Foote, Brenda Hollow Horn and Janet Runs Through of Wolf Point. Nephews Joseph Howard and Logan, Jr. of Poplar; nieces Falon Denise Kay Howard, River Runs Through, Rock-c Daleen Necklace, and Aliauna Lester all of Poplar. Rocky is also survived by his many cousins, Val Youpee, Les Long Hair, and Calvin Red Thunder, Jr. of Fort Kipp, Karen Youpee of Chicago, Illinois, Robert, Jr., Sophina, and Edith Youpee, Kelly and Summer Beauchman, Ira Track, Shilo Four Bear, and Heather Youpee, and Grace Devereaux all of Brockton. Raymond Track, Sean, Jim, and Maria Youpee, Angeline Headdress, Janelle Red Thunder, John Red Thunder, Jr., Kevin Devereaux, Jamie Fast Horse, Debbie, Valerie, Jodi, Michelle, and Waynette Boyd of Poplar, Wayne Boyd, Jr, and Colleen Devereaux of Billings, Montana, Sampson and Sharon Boyd of Nashville, Tennessee, Carrie Dawn Four Bear of Spokane, Washington, Jonathon Runs Through of Wolf Point, Otis, Duke, Iree, Irene, Cicely, JP, Ruby, and Logan Talks Different of Frazer, Arthur and Quentin Devereaux of Oswego, Kira, Keifer, Jr., and Thunderdrum Foote of Wolf Point, Emberlee, Lakota, Kyleigh, Lillian, Bree, and Katie Hollow Horn of Wolf Point, Trevor, Jonika, and Lance Grandchamp, Tyra and Britney Overton, Trenton, Shania, Riley, and Pamela Beston of Frazer. Rocky had many special friends who Include Jonathon Little Whirlwind, Oral John Grey Bear, Jr., Tyson Olsen, Steven Bearcub, George Anderson, Josh Whitebull, John Baker, Collins Goodwin, Calvin Lester, Jr. (RJ), Jesse Daniels, Jonas Burshia, and Dareck Lemay.

Rocky was preceded in death by, his father, Rodney Dale Clark; grandfathers Elmer Clark and Wallace Runs Through; grandmothers Caroline Clark, Jeanette Youpee, and Ruby Runs Through; uncles Lester Youpee, Tommy Youpee, Gary Youpee, Joseph Youpee, Wayne Boyd, Calvin Red Thunder, Sr., and John Red Thunder, Sr.; cousins Tiffany Youpee, Denise Red Thunder, Kenny Devereaux, Joseph Boyd, and Dani Jo Youpee.

Wake will be 7 p.m. Monday, August 31 at Assembly of God Church in Poplar. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 1 at Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Poplar.
