Our beloved Rodney “Ronnie” Ernest Blackhoop made his journey into the spirit world to be with his Heavenly Father after a short battle with cancer on February 7, 2019 at age 56.
Ronnie was born on October 10, 1962 to Darlene Fern Longee and Lee Paul Blackhoop, Sr. He attended school in Poplar, MT, Wahpeton, ND and Swan River, MT. He spent most of his life in Poplar, MT with family and friends. He worked various jobs but his passion was working on cars with his uncles Bert and Maynard Longee, his brother Lee, cousin Joker and best friend Narvin Chaser.
Ronnie had a personality that everyone loved to know and be around, always willing to help anyone out. Ronnie loved the simple things in life, that most people took for granted.
He is survived by his parents; mother Darlene Fern Longee of Poplar, MT and father Lee Paul Blackhoop, Sr. of Phoenix, AZ; brother Lee (Yvette) Blackhoop, Jr. of Poplar, MT; sister Elizabeth “Liza” Jackson of Poplar, MT, Pauline “Tiny” (Tom) Cody of Laurel, MT, Francine (Russell) Boxer of Ft. Our apologies to anyone we have forgotten to mention as he had numerous family and friends and relatives. Ronnie was a beloved son, brother, uncle, papa and friend and will be greatly missed but not forgotten. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister Laurie Ellen Blackhoop; brother Brian Blackhoop; cousin Narvin Chaser and Kimberly Greybull; his grandparents Ernest and Ethel Longee, Lyda and Edwin Chaser; uncles Ernest John Longee, Arthur and Russell Longee, and Melvin “Dennis” Scott; aunt Diane Longee; nephews Ryan Buckles and Carlon Longtree.
