Our precious son, Rodrick Thomas “Rocket” Speed, went home to his creator on April 27, 2020.
Rodrick was born February 11, 2004 in Poplar Montana.
From day one, Rodrick had such a precious smile, anyone who knew him would be greeted with that huge smile.
Rocket grew up loving the outdoors. He would be seen riding his bike or running. He loved when the pool would open in the summer and he would be there every day. He loved to run, he enjoyed Cross Country and Track to the fullest and always ended his run with that infectious smile.
Rocket loved to read, not on a tablet, he needed to hold a book in his hands. His favorite reading material was something about Aliens or some other type of Science Fiction. We loved to see him with a book in his hands. He would take a book on long drives with the family or to a restaurant and read while he waited. The Last Dragon Chronicles with the series he was currently reading.
He loved doing things with his friends and family. Rocket had a lot of family, but his friends were very important to him: Dean, Ashley, Peyton, Koholo, Ethan, Payton and Lucy to name a few.
Rocket was in choir at school and he loved to sing. He just really loved music. He would sing anywhere, all the time. We know he is in the heavenly choir.
Rocket loved his job at the Sherman Inn and enjoyed his coworkers. He was so proud of himself for working his way up from dishwashing to making pizzas. He was never too good to go back and wash dishes when needed. He was saving his money to buy a car and was studying the driver’s manual so he could take his test. He wanted to be able to drive like his friend Dean.
Rocket helped his mom a lot with the Wolf Point Pound Puppies rescue. His love for animals was amazing and he was always a fixture at the spay/neuter clinics. He could be seen laying on the recovery bed with the dogs and cats, helping them wake up, or sometimes just sleeping. Just recently he flew 2 orphaned newborn puppies to Billings by himself to get them into the safe hands of the rescue folks at Tiny Tails. He was always willing to help in any way he was needed.
Rodrick is survived by his parents Tina (Speed) & Dave Bets His Medicine, his siblings, Casey Mae Olson (James), Adison James Renz Speed (Taylor) and Ryan Thomas Renz Speed (Mia) nephew Spencer James Renz Speed and Leilani. Also surviving Rodrick is his grandma Aurelia Bets His Medicine of Fort Kipp and many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Lee Renz Speed.
Other family members surviving Rodrick are Harold “Sinbad” Renz Jr., Colleen Ferguson Renz, Shelby Renz, Ralph Renz, Brennan, Ashley Ferguson, Barb Perry and many others.

We will all miss you so much Rodrick but you are now with the angels, have been greeted by all our passed loved ones and have no earthly pain. You can sing in the most special choir of them all and we will see you again someday.
In an effort to abide with the social distancing requests, we are asking that only family and close friends attend the viewing and graveside services. A memorial service for Rodrick will be announced at a later date.
