Ronaleen Chute

Ronaleen BearHill Chute, age 71, passed away on October 14, 2018 at her home in Wolf Point, MT. She was born to Raymond BearHill, Sr and Bridget Fast Horse on October 3, 1947 in Poplar, MT.

Her schooling included Flandreau Indian School, Tekawitha Orphanage and Brockton Schools.  Ronaleen met and married Clarence Delbert Campbell, Sr., Harold Edwin Bear and Dale Chute and from each of these unions came her children; Carole, Charlene, Clarence, Jr., Helen, Patricia, Joseph and Starla. She was employed for short periods of time at A & S Industries in Poplar and B & D in Santee, NE, but mostly she was a mom and a homemaker.  Ronaleen enjoyed sewing, quilting with her children, bingo, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Carole (Henry) Isle of Wolf Point, Charlene Campbell of Wolf Point, Clarence Campbell, Jr. of Santee, NE, Helen Campbell of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia (John) Leggett of Wolf Point and Starla (Randy) Burshia of Wolf Point; brother Raymond (Ramona) BearHill, Jr. of Watertown, SD; sisters Cheryl (Dennis Shaw) BearHill of Wolf Point, Catharine Koler of Seattle, WA, Elizabeth BearHill of Waubay, SD, Mary Moss of Waubay, SD and Clarice BearHill of Sisseton, SD; uncle Leonard Rattling Thunder of Riverside, MT; her 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Ronaleen is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Raymond BearHill, Jr. Vincent Many Ribs; sisters Charlotte BearHill and Karen Huffstutler; son Joseph Campbell and grandson Delbert Campbell Archdale.
