Sandra Joscelyn Rensvold died suddenly, at age 62 on March 21, 2011 at Trinity Hospital, Wolf Point, MT of a massive cardiac failure. She was born on May 27, 1948 to Alden & Adeline (Roehl) Joscelyn, the eldest of 7 siblings. She graduated from Hellgate High School in Missoula, MT and went on to attend the Univ. of Montana. It was there she met and married her best friend, Ted Rensvold. They were married for 42 years, lived in Germany, Missoula & ultimately settled in Wolf Point, MT.
Together they had children, David & Joscelyn. Their family grew again years later with the addition of children Eric & Natasha. Sandy spent her life managing their home, working jobs she loved and dedicating extended periods of her life to many community service activities. Her services were highly sought after and greatly appreciated, including being honored with the Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award in 2008. She was very involved in her church including Sunday School Superintendent and church Secretary. Sandy enjoyed reading, stamping and playing cards. She & Ted along with their dear friends, Gary & Marilynn had played pinochle in over 20 states on their way to reaching their goal of playing in all 50!
Sandy is survived by her husband, Ted of Wolf Point; parents, Ad & Al Joscelyn; children, David (Mary), Joscelyn (Curt), Eric & Natasha, grandchildren, several aunts & uncles and many more special family & friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents Sam & Lydia Roehl, Archie & Hazel Joscelyn and mother & father-in-law, Ann & Earl Rensvold.
Sandy’s strong faith, the love for her family, love for her friends and love for her community has created a legacy that will continue to live on through all of the many lives she affected in such a positive way.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 25 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a Family Service to follow at 7 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Her Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point with cremation to follow.
