Sandra Lee Lilley

Sandra Lee Lilley “Blue Buffalo Woman”, was born on March 18, 1952 in Poplar, MT to Rose Miller Lilley and Joe Lilley Sr.  Sandra passed away on November 16, 2020 in Billings, MT.

Sandra grew up in Wolf Point attending grade school until she went to Pierre Indian School in South Dakota, where she graduated from 8 th grade, then went on to Flandreau Indian School graduating high school in 1970.  After high school she attended Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, KS for a short time before returning to Wolf Point.

Sandra worked various jobs throughout her life, she worked as a dental assistant with IHS, tribal food program delivering meals to the elderly nurses aid and her last job of 38 years with BIA Irrigation Department as an accounting tech.

Sandra loved the Lord and was a life long member of the United Dakota Presbyterian Church.  Sandra was a member and a treasurer of the Wadopana PowWow committee. Always doing what she could to make sure the pow-wow had a good turn out each year.

Sandra loved being with her grandkids and family.  Having dinner and coffee with her brothers and sisters. Watching her granddaughter play basketball and volleyball.  She enjoyed going to bingo, playing machines, traveling to visit family and friends.  Taking cruises with her love, Raymond as she called him.

Sandra was a good person to all, she had a big heart, always helping those in need.  She enjoyed a good laugh with friends and family.  Her laugh will be greatly missed by all.

Sandra is preceded in death by the handsome man in her life for 47 years, Ray “Raymond” Redstone; her parents, Rose and Joe Lilley Sr.; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her daughters Willow and Brooke Lilley; grandchildren Hadyn, Jadyn, Ashtyn, Rayven, Miguel, Keynen; great grandkids Zayvian, K’maiya and Tate; her sisters Julie Christian, Lois Black, Terri Adams, Elaine (Nick) Barrera, Stacey (Curtis) Lilley-Foster, of Wolf Point; brothers Steven (Rhonda) Lilley, Perry (Imogene) Lilley of Wolf Point and Chickey (Dawn) Lilley of Ronan, MT; uncle Williard Miller of Wolf Point, and aunt Patty DeCoteau of Dunseith, ND; brothers and sisters in law Trex and Virginia Redstone, Dovaline Schauer, Tammy and Rich Frank, David and Yvette Redstone and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Sandra will be missed by all who knew her.
