Sandra Melbourne, age 42, of Poplar, MT passed away on Thursday, May 16 in Poplar.
Sandra, the daughter of Richard P. Yellow Owl and Wilma M. Melbourne, was born on June 27, 1970 in Poplar. She worked as a housekeeper at the Northeast Montana Health Services in Poplar for a year. She also worked as a CNA in Culbertson, and at the Faith Home in Wolf Point. She enjoyed having friends over and spending time with her family.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Kevin Falcon of Poplar; father, Richard Yellow Owl of Laurel, MT; sister, Cheryl Melbourne of Poplar; brothers, Richard Melbourne of Minnesota, Lawrence Eagle Thunder of Portland, OR, and Lyle Melbourne of Denver, CO; sons, Anthony Melbourne of Colorado, Thomas Melbourne of Fargo, ND, and Lonnie Red Star of Billings, MT; daughters, Vanessa Red Star and Jessica Red Star both of Poplar; granddaughter, Harmony Red Star of Poplar; nephews, William Red Star, Floyd Martell, Darwin Melbourne, and Duane Martell; nieces, Elizabeth Martell, Lisa Martell, Dawn Martell, Wilma Martell, Sabrina Martell, and Rachel Melbourne; special friends, Robbie Olson, Elton Jones, Faron Jones, Dianna Rose Longee, Mena Birthmark, Vanetta Eagle, Lewis Martell, Theresa Sun Rhodes, Williamette Ogle, Lori Big Talk and Grandpa Lloyd Youpee; and numerous, other nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives too many to mention.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Melbourne; son, Roderick Red Star; and cousin, Gerald Melbourne.
A vigil will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 24 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery.
