Scott Lee Harrington

July 29, 1992 — August 14, 2014

Scott Lee Harrington, age 22 of Poplar passed away suddenly on August 14, 2014, in Billings Montana. Scott was born in Wolf Point on July 29, 1992, he attended Poplar Schools throughout his school years and graduated in 2011. After graduation he followed in his parent’s footsteps and began training in the EMT field, he worked at Poplar Hospital until he moved to Billings in February of this year. His coworker at St. Vincent’s hospital spoke highly of Scott and shared how Scott’s impressive interview secured him the position of ER Technician at St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he was currently employed. On his days off, Scott would come home to visit and when possible would work a shift on the ambulance crew with his uncle Nathan Chase. He enjoyed assisting people in need and his attitude was taught to him by his great-grandparents Jerry & Eunice Alfrey who were influential in the early years of his life.  He recently shared with family members that he wanted to further his career and become a paramedic, he enjoyed his ability to help those in need and took great pride in his duties.

Scott’s other passion was music. He was a self taught guitar player and enjoyed many jamming sessions with his friends, writing songs and posting videos to YouTube. He was truly talented in many areas, he was very creative in graphic design and quite knowledgeable on the computer. He is described lovingly as a kind and gentle soul, kind hearted, courteous, respectful, humorous, and an enthusiastic Steelers fan, he will be missed by many.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving parents Jonnie & Robert Harrington, his brothers Jeramy & Josh Harrington, Poplar. When he was 7 years old he was traditionally adopted by Tommy Christian, Poplar and Calinda Duquette, Saskatchewan, his adopted brothers are James, Cal, Damian & his sister Dahnis. His grandparents Beryl & Norman Harrington, Nebraska, Diane Martin, Sandra Birthmark, Sheldon Birthmark, John & Rose Morsette, all of Poplar. Aunts, Susan Harrington, Denver; Linda Hagemann, Tuscon & Leanda Birthmark, Poplar and Uncle Robert Birthmark, Wolf Point.

He was predeceased by his great grandparents Jerry & Eunice Alfrey, his grandmothers Sharon, Joyce Ann, Clarice Birthmark, his grandfathers Lynn Sr., Darryl, James, Nolan, Kermit Birthmark, and his adopted brother Tommy Christian Jr.

A wake will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Poplar Activity Center.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Poplar Activity Center.  Interment will follow in the Poplar City Cemetery.  Condolences for the family may be left at: www.claytonstevensonchapel.com .  Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
