Shannon Marie Eder, age 45, of Poplar, MT, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in Poplar, MT.
Our loving mom, sister, auntie, grandma, and friend, Shannon Marie Eder was born on November 29, 1964 in Poplar, Montana to Mark Frances Eder Jr. and Delores Rae Scott. She was the 6th child out of 10. She attended school in Poplar, and in the 90’s she received her C.N.A. pin and worked at the Poplar Hospital.
In 1983, she met Joe Bill Wounded Face and together they had 3 children—DeRae Nicole, Chad Joseph and Josie Dawn. Later they separated.
Shannon had a big loving heart for anyone who needed her help. She loved visiting with family, friends, or anyone who’d stop by—always teasing and laughing around with everyone. She just enjoyed life.
Shannon will be dearly missed by her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She loved going to pow-wows, rodeos, reading, and going for long rides in the country with her loving soul mate of 16 years, Harry Iron Bear Jr. Shannon was a very smart woman. Her undying love and caring will be missed by all her friends who were blessed to know her.
Shannon is survived by her soul mate, Harry Iron Bear Jr. of Poplar, MT; daughters, DeRae Nicole Wounded Face of Poplar, MT and Josie Dawn Nunn of North Pole, Alaska; son, Chad Joseph Wounded Face of Poplar, MT; sisters, Marcella (Joel) Greybull of Poplar, MT, Cheryl Scott of Williston, ND; brothers, Reginald Scott of Poplar, MT, Kevin (Joyce) Eder of Poplar, MT, Robert S. Eder of Poplar, MT, Kenneth Eder of Riverton, WY Juan Eder of Riverton, WY, and Timothy Red Door Jr. of Great Falls, MT; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. If we failed to mention anyone we apologize sincerely.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Frances “Buster” Eder Jr.; mother, Delores Rae Scott; a brother, Mark Francis Eder III; daughter, DeAnna “Tweetz” Eder; and a niece, April Lynn Scott.
Her wake will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 , at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar, MT.
