Toni Elaine Escarcega went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 27, 2017, at her home in Wolf Point, MT.
Toni was born on February 15, 1964. She was born to Joseph Escarcega Jr. and Almeda Belle Looking in Los Angeles, CA.
Toni met Billy Tibbetts in Los Angeles CA, together had 4 children, Michelle Tibbetts, Billy (BJ) Escarcega, Rachel Escarcega, and Mikey Escarcega. Later the family moved to Oregon. Toni moved to Wolf Point with her children. She attended Fort Peck Community College pursuing a business degree. She enjoyed working and spending time with friends and family.
Her hobbies included gardening, tending to her house plants, crafts, music, collecting, drawing, cooking, attending to her birds and making knick knacks. She loved painting pictures and doing Interior design. Toni enjoyed many family activities; she especially enjoyed making Halloween costumes for her children and decorating the Christmas tree. She was loved by her children.
Toni was an avid Bingo player and loved writing and traveling. She was very proud of her heritage, being Assiniboine and a member of the Fort Peck Tribes. Toni looked to her parents and grandparents. Toni used the example of her father’s Engineering back ground to be creative with painting, crafting, and costume design.
Toni will be remembered by the many adopted children, friends, and family who she counseled and shared her love with by being a mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a very humble woman who will never be forgotten by the ones whose lives she touched, loved and tried to help.
Toni is survived by two daughters, Michelle Tibbetts and Rachel Escarcega; two sons, BJ Escarcega and Mikey Escarcega; brother, Joel Escarcega; sister, Janet Escarcega; and 11 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by brother, Dana; father, Joseph Escarcega Jr.; and mother, Almeda Looking.
Also those names of family, friends and acquaintances who are not mentioned, you know who you are and are all loved and not forgotten by our mother.
Our mother will be missed but her faith and hope will carry on. Rest in peace.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 31 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Burial will be at the King Memorial Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
