Travis Spotted Bull

October 25, 1985 — September 20, 2012

On September 20, 2012 Travis Spotted Bull went to be with the Lord.  He passed away at The Billings Clinic with his family by his side.  Travis was born in Poplar, MT, on October 25, 1985 to Ronald Spotted Bull and Lauren Red Dog.  Travis graduated from Poplar High School in 2005.  He would always play the National Anthem at many high school games.  Travis will be remembered for his loving kindness towards others.  Travis’ smile lit up a room.  If you needed something, all you had to do was mention it, and he would be there to help.

You could always find Travis with a guitar pick in his pocket and a beat in his walk.  He was a very talented musician.  Travis played piano, trumpet, drums, and guitar over the course of his short life.  Travis was also a volunteer fireman with the Poplar Fire Department.  He also worked for a few years at Wal-Mart in Williston, ND.

Travis was an active member of The Assembly of God Church in Poplar, MT where he played rock gospel for its youth activities.  Travis’ relationship with the Lord started at a young age, as he and his father would attend church regularly.

Travis is survived by his father, Ronald Spotted Bull of Poplar; his mother, Lauren Red Dog of Poplar; sisters, Michelle Red Dog, Lacey Wash, and Lynette Good Bird all of Poplar; aunts, Jeanne (Spotted Bull) Charette, Bonita Youpee, Rhea Starr, Verlene Red Dog, Kara Red Dog, and Doris Red Dog all of Poplar; and uncles, Richard Hawk and Maynard Hawk both of Poplar.

Travis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Allen and Esther Spotted Bull; and his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Almena Red Dog.

Travis will be truly missed by his family and friends.

A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 25 at the Assembly of God in Poplar. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26 at the Assembly of God in Poplar. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar.
