Trey Fourstar

June 9, 2000 — December 25, 2021

Trey Marcus Paul Fourstar, “Wachaga Yuza” (Carries the Sweetgrass), age 21, passed away on December 25, 2021 in Williston, ND. He was born on June 9, 2000 to Honey Bernard Redboy and Victor Fourstar, Jr. in Wolf Point, MT.

Trey grew up in a house of 4 in Wolf Point on the west end of town with his older brothers, Chad and Brad Fourstar. Growing up with his brother’s outgoing ways and their participation in sports paved a path for Trey’s participation in sports throughout high school. Trey’s love of basketball started at a young age. He traveled to numerous places for tournaments with his best friend/brother, Joseph Williamson. Alysia Williamson and his grandmother Judy were his biggest fans. Trey also developed a love for cross-country that spanned from junior high to college.

Trey joined MYC his sophomore year of high school, from which he graduated in June 2017. Cookie Ragland was a big support to Trey through MYC and high school. Trey worked for Agland “Swagland” during high school. This is where he grew a love for his work family. Trey’s special friend was Sophie Rasmussen, whom he married. He later found work with Key Energy and he met work friend Francisco Rosas. He was a hard worker and was a positive role model to many. He touched many lives during the little time we had with him. Trey will be missed dearly.

Trey is preceded in death by his great- grandparents Joseph and Melda Shawl, Maynard and Florine Bernard; grandpas Dennis Shawl, Sr., Kenneth Shawl, William Shawl, Sr., Conrad Bernard; Lola May Shawl, Marie Shawl Bull, Celia Shawl Sack, Mary Shawl Crowe, Audrey Bernard; cousins Marquette Crawford, Melda Clark; brother Joseph Burshia; grandma, Judy RedBoy, paternal grandfather, Victor Fourstar, Sr; paternal great-grandparents, Leslie Fourstar, Sr. and Freda Redstone.
