Trudy grew up on the farm in Fort Kipp, Mt. she attended school in Culbertson where she participated in track and basketball. She was a baptized/member at Red Eagle Memorial Church where she attended Bible School, and assisted with all church events. Trudy was raised by her grandparents Lida and Gale Menz, she enjoyed being in the kitchen with grandma Lida and was an expert at making cornballs. Grandma Lida was her biggest supporter and they would cruise all over together. Trudy had the biggest heart, and infectious smile and laugh. She was always joking, teasing her friends, co-workers, and family. The family siblings called her “honky”, or “windwalker”. Trudy loved all her niece and nephews, she would tickle & chase them all over. Trudy was always there to lend a hand or help someone in need, she helped babysit many children or brats (as she would say), and they would call her “Mom”, she loved them like her own.
Trudy was blessed with two children, whom she loved very much. Emerlee Lynn Menz, 12/22/01, & Jason Lee Trinder, November 7th, 2003. She kept all their paperwork from grade school, and was proud of their accomplishments. One of her highlights in life was the birth of her grandbaby Skylee, she loved her with all her heart. She would love facetiming her on a daily basis. The second grandbaby will be here in April, and will be named in her memory “Trudell Elaine”. Trudy enjoyed walking, riding her bike, cooking, cleaning, & visiting friends and family.
Trudy had various jobs but enjoyed working at the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Poplar, MT. with Ona Windchief, Chug Knowlton, Doug Grandchamp, and others. Her good friends/sisters were Lesley Buck Elk, Darlyn Grainger, Angie Headdress, and Johnelle Pipe-Calder.
