Tyrone Paul Gourneau went to be with the Lord Monday August 17 th , 2015. He was born November 21, 1987 to Greg Gourneau Sr. and Vera Longee.
First and foremost he was a momma’s baby boy. Tyrone was a kind hearted man, making many friends along his way. Tyrone graduated from Poplar High School in 2006, where he played football and participated in math events bringing home 1 st place awards. Tyrone attended FPCC and the University of Montana where he was in pursuit of degree in applied mathematics and education. He also became the General Manager at Overland where he made life friends with the owners and coworkers. Tyrone began working at the Poplar Public school in the cafeteria where he would keep a watchful eye on his favorite nephew Ezekial Lawrence Gourneau and sister Jorga Lin. He sure enjoyed spending time with his nephew, they spent plenty of time building Legos, playing video games, and working on other little projects.
Tyrone was a firefighter on the Poplar Volunteer Fire Department for 9 years along with his 2 brothers and mother. Serving on the department was his, and his family hood hobby. Tyrone was a highly intelligent man, who was a mathematician and creative writing genius just like his dad. He ranked in the top 3% of the nation in the subjects of Math, Science, and English. Tyrone also loved to talk on the phone with his dad because it was fun to say things and work him up then when he hung up he would say I SHOULD HAVE SAID…. We would answer should of, could of, but didn’t then he would laugh really hard. He also loved hanging out at his home away from home with Uncle Vance and family, they loved hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed the long hours of playing Zilch with Grandpa Dee and was very adventurous. He especially enjoyed hanging out with his brother Zach, they were rarely seen one without the other.
Everyone associated Tyrone with his easy going nature and crazy stories. He would always greet people with a smile and a funny remark. If you needed help Tyrone was always willing to lend a hand. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. He will forever be in our hearts.
