Vera Garske 79, of Great Falls, MT formerly of Poplar, MT passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 of lung cancer.
Vera Charlene Gregg was born in Poplar on September 22, 1932 to Lewis & Louise Gregg. Vera graduated from Ft Peck Community College and received a degree in Archeology. Vera was married to Lou Garske in 1953.

Mrs. Garske lived in Montana most of her life, with the exception of 5 years spent in Oregon to be near family and volunteer in the foster grandparent program.

Vera is survived by sons, Glenn Garske of Salem, Oregon, Rhyanon Garske of Ft Worth, Texas and Roy Brown; daughter, Pearl McGillis ; grandchildren, Brooke Freeman, Brande McGillis, Alison McGillis & Jason Brown; sisters, Ruby Rasor, Vivianne Pankowski and Annavieve Cockrell; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, June 29 at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 2 at the Latter-Day Saints Church in Wolf Point, MT with interment to follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar. A memorial service will be held in Great Falls LDS church at a later date.
