Viola Mae Clancy, “Maksa”, left this world peacefully on Saturday morning, the 28th of July 2018. She was a beautiful, strong woman who was born January 8, 1945. She was born and raised at Chicken Hill, the family home. She grew up with her brothers and sisters. She met and fell in love with her children’s dad from this union they had Gerald Clancy, Gerald Clancy, Darrick Clancy, Lucinda Clancy, Alfred Clancy, and Kevin Clancy. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, attended Blue Sky Ministries until she became too ill, and she loved crossword puzzles.
Viola is preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda; older sister, Mary Helen Birdsbill-Clancy; her brothers, Ralph Clancy, Timothy Clancy Jr., Joseph Clancy Sr.; nephew, Wayne Gendron-Clancy; cousins, Mary Fern Clancy; and Timothy Black Spauer.
She is survived by her sons, Gearld Clancy, Gerard Clancy, Darrick Clancy, Alfred Clancy, and Kevin Clancy; sisters, Virginia Clancy, Phoebe Schindler, and Freda Schindler; newphews, Richard Archdale, Ernest Archdale, William Archdale, Michael Bear Hill, Joseph Clancy Jr., Tristen Eagleman, and Marco Clancy; nieces, Misty Ann Archdale, Michelle Clancy, Faith Clancy, Adria Jackson, Raynell Clancy, Jadelynn Clancy, Barbara Black Spauer, Debbie Peek, Mandy Schindler, and Brandy Schindler; extended families, Lilleys, Tracks, Robinsons, Birdsbills, and Pipes. Viola had numerous family members; we apologize if we forgot all the names. Viola will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
A wake will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, August 5 at the Wolf Point Community Hall. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 6 at the Wolf Point Community Hall. Interment will follow at the Oswego Presbyterian Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
