Violet Rose (Kaiser) Lee, age 97, of Richey, MT passed away March 15, 2011 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive.
Violet, the daughter of Henry G. and Ruth M. (Walker) Kaiser, was born October 5, 1913 in Richey, MT.
On December 31, 1932 Violet married Sanford “Sam” Lee in Richey. They were married for 67 years until Sanford’s death on October 14, 1999.
Violet spent her most of her life in this area and she spent winters in Arizona. Later, she lived with her daughters in Helena, MT, Colorado, and Arizona.
She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards, dancing and spending time with grandchildren. She was a member of the Rebekah’s Lodge and American Lutheran Church Women.
Violet is preceded in death by her husband, Sanford A. Lee; parents, Ruth and Henry Kaiser; sister, Margaret Beery; brothers, Roger and Glen Kaiser; and a grandson, Jeff Eggert.
She is survived by her son, A. Nordine Lee of Apache Jct., AZ; daughter, Virginia (Rich) Tabatt of Helena, MT, Margaret (George) Winhofer of Richey, MT, Phyllis (Ron) Bennett of Golden, CO; brothers, Jack and Gerald Kaiser; sisters, Hazel Sampson and Ruth Kaiser; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is tentatively planned for 1 p.m. June 24 at the American Lutheran Church in Richey, MT.
